After enduring a traumatic childhood, she was gifted a horse, Mastercharge, that changed her life by bringing her peace, confidence, and the overwhelming feeling that she, too, was a princess. Being able to provide Equine-Assisted Learning through Angel Wings Ranch fulfills Rena's lifelong dream of being able to help others who have experienced trauma and challenges. Coming to Christ helped Mike find himself and learn to love life again. After meeting Rena in 2010 and marrying in 2011, they began their own “street” ministry helping people in LA by giving them food, clothing, and gift cards for basic needs. As a founding member of the Angel Wings Ranch team, Mike helps with the business operations and works alongside our male clients with any struggle they may have.

Prince is our 7-year old Bay Arabian Half Quarterhorse. A rescue himself, he has a heartwarming way of interacting with everyone here at the Ranch and is one of our core equine team members. He has a huge personality, but will follow you and do whatever you tell him to do. Make sure you're ready - this guy loves to lick you!

Patient and sweet, Joy is our 11-year-old paint mare who absolutely loves working with children. She delights in having a special purpose on the equine team here at the Ranch...and also loves being the center of attention!

Justice is our 20-year old Line Back Dun Mare. When she was first given to us, she kept to herself, not wanting anything to do with the other people or horses on the ranch. Now, she is anything but private! She loves to be in with the rest of the herd, and will come to you and rest her head on your shoulder.

We have a pony! Jade is our newest addition we rescued from an extremely neglectful situation. Jade has had time to acclimate to the group and knows how loved she is!

Jesse, our 10-year-old donkey, was also a rescue. Although he has a crooked leg, he does not let that stop him - he chases the horses around and thinks he is boss! When he first came to the Ranch, he would not let us touch him, but now he loves kisses, hugs and baths. We call him our Jesse Love.

Omelette the pig was given to us by a good friend. She is so fun and we love having her on the team! She absolutely loves having her belly rubbed, and she also loves playing and sunbathing in her pool. When you call her name she makes the funniest snorting noises!
